Myofascial Release Therapy in Fleet

Myofascial Release is a highly effective hands-on therapy used to treat long-term and chronic pain conditions.  By working with the body's connective tissue (fascia), this gentle approach helps to release restrictions, reduce pain and restore natural movement.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, joints and organs throughout the body.

When healthy, it is flexible and allows smooth pain-free movement.  However, due to injury, stress or poor posture, fascia can become tight and restricted - leading to pain, stiffness and reduced mobility.

How Can Myofascial Release Help?

Myofascial Release uses slow, sustained pressure to gently release restrictions within the fascia.

This treatment can help to:

  • reduce chronic pain

  • improve flexibility and movement

  • relieve muscular tension

  • support recovery from injury

  • improve posture and long-standing imbalances

What Can it Help With?

Myofascial Release may be beneficial for:

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Lower back pain

  • Chronic muscular tension

  • Headaches

  • Postural problems

  • Restricted movement or stiffness

  • Long term chronic pain conditions such as Fibromyalgia, EDS,

What to Expect from Treatment

Treatment is gentle, slow and tailored to your body.  Unlike more traditional massage, Myofascial Release works with the tissue rather than forcing change, allowing the body to respond naturally. Although the pressure may feel deep at times, it is always applied in a controlled and responsive way, working with your body rather than against it.

Many clients find the treatment deeply relaxing, while also experiencing a gradual release of tension and improved movement over time.  Each session is adapted to your individual needs and may form part of a longer-term approach to managing pain and supporting overall wellbeing.
